Developing links with local businesses is our key strategy. This will provide us with greater access to businesses in the ‘local community’ and include volunteers to enable us to promote sport for the disabled and integrate able-bodied people with the disabled in a really fun environment. ‘Fun’ being our priority, we hope to attract more local businesses to come on board to help us with fundraising and join in to help make our events exceptional. Above all it will provide us with new potential friends.

• Fundraising – annual Marathon Wheelchair Push in the summer – we need teams of able-bodied people to commit and push wheelchairs whilst also collecting funds en-route. It’s a heck of a lot of fun too.

Getting involved creates healthy competition. We arrange many different fun events throughout the year including our thrilling annual ball, hilarious treasure hunts and mind-boggling pub quizzes. We therefore encourage business support creating an outside of work social scene which is so important today when time to relax and enjoy is vitally important to achieve the work, life balance.
