Individuals
Individual Members may be any physically or sensorially disabled
person, of any age range. Individual membership includes able-bodied
people who may wish to coach, escort or assist our disabled
members or who simply want to volunteer to support WAMDSAD
in any way, including drinking at the bar!
Membership for individuals is currently:
Adult Member: £20 per annum
Junior Member (up to 18 years old): £5 per
annum (must be accompanied by an adult membership fee)
Family Membership - £45 per annum
(to include 2 adults and up to four children)
What value!
Organisations
This membership is for any organisation, body, club or other
association that pays a negotiated fee to support us. Members
are allowed to nominate an individual to represent them with
one vote at the AGM.
Member Volunteers
Many of you will have heard this message before, but we
offer no apologies for repetition. We always need willing
volunteers to not only help generally but to actively get
involved in helping to raise money for WAMDSAD. We all know
we are a voluntary organisation and we therefore continuously
have to find ways to raise the funds we need to keep operating.
It is a never-ending exercise and one that is generally undertaken
by the same few people time and again. People quite understandably
tire and want a change, so unless more Members’ come forward
to help, our gallant few will dwindle.
You can help in two ways – firstly we need three or four
new additions to our Fundraising Committee. It is not particularly
arduous, in fact it is a lot of fun – we meet for a couple
of hours every two months or so, each Member taking responsibility
for running specific projects.
Secondly, we need more Volunteers and support for fundraising
events such as street collections – see the forthcoming collections
and events in the area.
WAMDSAD needs you our Members to help us to continue to
operate and maintain our long-term success for all our benefit!
Remember WAMDSAD cannot operate without our volunteers!
